Slow River 3.17

Comments from LisaAnd David said Diana gets no respect. :)

As I said before, I’m having a lot of fun with the interaction between Phydeux and Phoebe. It’s also letting us explore the world the comic is set in more, exposing some basic prejudices about those who deal in ghosts and death-based magic.

Comments from the ArtistYet another color change now that I’m in charge of coloring (Mwa-ha-ha!) The protective talisman now glows with its own inner light (which is a tiny little gradient fill of yellow).

If you’re the kind of person really bothered by continuity, then pretend the reason is that before, it hadn’t been activated, so it was shown in color (brown) just to indicate that it had magical properties.

But really it’s because we changed our minds about how to do things. Coloring every item with magical power would be a very time-consuming thing. I think it works better to use the color for active magical effects, and for special cases.
