FAQ

Who’s responsible for this atrocity?
The Domino Girls are the creation of Lisa Hartjes and David Goodner.

LisaLisa is a freelance writer and cartographer for the role playing game industry. She also self-publishes her work through her website Hart-Felt Productions. In her spare time, she plays role playing games, writes, and talks to far too many people through IM.

DavidDavid Goodner works for a library somewhere in Texas. In his spare time, he plays role playing games, writes, and entertains Lisa through IM’s.

David blames Lisa for guilting him into the project. Lisa says she did nothing of the kind, and that it’s not her fault he liked her webcomic idea.

Where did you get the idea for the Domino Girls?
The original concept for the Domino Girls came from characters in a role playing game. When it looked like the game was going to die, we discovered we didn’t want to let go of them quite yet, so we decided to turn their adventures into a series of graphic novels.

How often do you update?
The comic updates every Thursday, and we have Off-Day updates on Sundays.

Who does what for the Domino Girls?
Lisa does all the web work, puts the comic pages together, and does all the graphic manipulation (coloring the comic where appropriate, making the wallpapers, etc.); David does all the art, and we collaborate on the writing. When the books are published, Lisa will be taking care of that through her publishing company contacts.

When will the books be published?
When we’re ready to publish them. Ideally, that will be a couple of months after the last page of the story is online.

How do you do your art?
Ssssssshh! It’s a secret!
Well, not completely a secret. Some of the art we use for the Off-Day Updates and other things come from stock art by artists such as V Shane.

Why is the comic art so bad?
Because David is a sucky artist and a poor excuse for a human being. And thank you for rubbing it in.

Is any of this stuff real?
While we may have taken bits and pieces of folklore and mythology from around the world, the Domino Girls is a complete work of fiction.

Your description of how X magic item/spell/religion/being is wrong!
We’re sorry. Did you say something? Oh, you mean it doesn’t match what you believe. See the answer to the question above.

Why are some parts of the comic in color, and others aren’t?
We’re not saying - yet. We’re hoping you, our readers, can figure out it.

Is this going to be an ongoing comic?
We developed the Domino Girls to have a beginning and an end to their story. There will be two books, each broken down into a number of chapters. Each chapter will be a self-contained story. You won’t have to have read the previous chapter to understand the story but, like anything that’s a series, it might help.
