Panel 1 (Location, Day/Night)
Gerrard cups Diana’s face, forcing her to look up as he siphons more of her power to blast Phoebe

Phoebe: Diana wears her powers on her sleeve. She just can’t help it. Life wants to be seen. She’s a big tasty feast to anything that needs the essence of Life to survive. She’d be crack for vampires.
Me? My power is far more subtle. Like Death, you often don’t see it until it’s too late.

Panel 2 (Location, Day/Night)
The blast of power washes over Phoebe, but she doesn’t get all transmorgified into a skellington girl like Diana did back in issue one.

Phoebe: Gerrard learned that his stolen power couldn’t be used against me. Diana’s power, even tainted as it was, knew me and couldn’t hurt me.
When the second blast hit me, the one powered by Gerrard’s own power, well, I know it sounds so cliched, but time stood still. The loas whispered in my mind that Gerrard would be the first, and not the last, whatever that meant. Then time started again and I felt like I was being torn apart and put back together at the same time.

Panel 3 (Location, Day/Night)
Phoebe sees Gerrard and Diana as aura forms, abstracted and made up of magical threads. Gerrard is drawing Diana’s energy into himself.

Phoebe: The world, I don’t know, shifted. All of a sudden I could see things, the threads of Gerrard’s power. It was a false power, stolen through the deaths of others. I felt like I could reach out and pull on those threads. So I did.
But as quickly as I broke those threads, more formed, stealing Diana’s life faster and faster. I had to do something to stop him.
